A Love Letter to Grandma (家书)

A film which won the 3rd prize for the Enabling Asia 2020, A Love Letter to Grandma (家书) was filmed in 2019 and edited into a short 13 minute clip in 2020. This personal film by Aaron Kho recalls a short trip he made to Kuching to visit his 83-year-old grandma.

Since Grandpa died 10 years ago, he can visibly trace the deterioration of her health, her memory and her physical ability as she grew increasingly isolated from all of us. A Love Letter to Grandma is a living tribute to his Grandma and his way of expressing our love for her despite being far away from home.
